Max, Paul and Simon have been friends for 35 years. It has been a joyful, lasting friendship with no issues. While their professional lives have been successful, their private lives have had their ups and downs. One evening the three friends are meeting up to play cards “Chez Max”. Simon looks totally crushed and tells his friends that he has had a row with his wife Estelle and that in a fit of anger, he strangled her. Max and Paul are very alarmed, especially when Simon begs them to give him an alibi, so he can escape a prison sentence.
