Well into spring, the vineyard transforms and comes back to life at a rapid pace.

After a smooth bud break and a beautiful inflorescence development, vines are now starting to bloom. This year, the first flowers appeared on Château Angelus Cabernet Franc plots around the 23rd of May.

If the beginning of the season was quite rainy, the winter experienced in Saint-Émilion helped replenish the water reserves of our soils. Overall, the cold weather of the past few months did not impact the vineyard growth, nor that of the future grape clusters, allowing the 2019 vintage to start under the best auspices.
